[11-06-2015] Military soldiers including Kim Hyun Joong forbidden to leave due to MERS outbreak

As the MERS outbreak continues in South Korea, it turns out that military soldiers, including stars currently enlisted, are now unable to leave the premises during their breaks.  

According to a rep from the Army Headquarters, as more people are becoming affected by the disease, they've pushed back the breaks for their soldiers, which is usually when they can get off the army bases and return to civilization for a short period of time.

This includes stars like Kim Hyun Joong , who will partake in the ceremony for the completion of their recruit training without the presence of their family, which is a shame.  Usually, family come to celebrate their graduation from basic training, but it must be for the best.

[04-06-2015] Kim Hyun Joong is all smiles in the military

Despite the legal mess and drama still unfolding between him and his ex, Kim Hyun Joong seems to be happy to be personally away from it all while he serves the military.

On June 4, the 30th Recruit Training Squadron shared pictures of the trainees that had enlisted on May 12.  It has been three weeks now, but they, including singer/actor Kim Hyun Joong, appear to be doing well.  

Kim Hyun Joong has a bright smile in his picture with his buzz cut hair.  After training for two more weeks for a total of five, he will become an active-duty soldier.  He's scheduled to be discharged on February 11, 2017, which seems like a long while away, but he'll be back before you know it!  And hopefully the mess will all be resolved by then, too.

Unlike the first released photo wherein the Kim Hyun Joong looked quite struggling, this time around he looks rather healthy and fine.

Who wouldn't when you are promoted as a team leader? Yes. Kim Hyun Joong is now the his squad's team leader as seen in the new photo released today. In the group photo, Kim Hyun Joong and the rest of new trainees are wearing their training uniform. The actor is wearing a nametag with description 'Trainee Leader'.

It appears like Kim Hyun Joong is perfectly adapting in the army. Congratulations!

However, in the upcoming 2 years, I believe that this is an opportunity for me to reborn again.

As a man, as an entertainer, I will grow up and return as a responsible person of the society.

In the (past) one years’ time, I fully felt that…I have been living well and was protected with more caution and from a heart-warming position, by my family, friends, colleagues, people whom I’m thankful to, and fans…

After I finish my duties at the National Defense, I will return as a better person, if not the best, for all of you who believed in me more than I do. On the day when I return, I promise that I will smile and greet (you), with that I end my letter.
